The reason why researching is so important is because, -lets say you quit your job, stay home for 6 months doing something entirely different than what you used to do and decide you just can no longer continue what you’re doing. You attempt to return to the work force you once engaged in, and they want to know what you’ve been doing for the last 6 months…..
No, it doesn’t look so good. Besides you obviously weren’t interested in doing what you are currently applying for. You will either look lazy, uninterested, or they may have doubts about your ability to perform. So what do you do? Do you beg them to talk to your last employer? Do you lie about what you’ve been doing for the last 6 months? It kind of starts to not look so good for you. After all, do they really want to hire someone that no one else wanted for the last 6 months?
